Move a playlist to your box

A provider's playlist address can run to fifty characters, and typing it with the remote, letter by letter on an on-screen keyboard, is torture. Send the playlist from here instead: the box will ask for six characters rather than the whole address.

This is a transfer, not storage. The playlist is yours, it comes from your provider, and we need it only for as long as it takes you to walk from the computer to the TV: the box fetches the list once during setup and keeps it from then on.

M3U and M3U8, in UTF-8 or Windows-1251. The file reaches the box exactly as you gave it: the box works out the encoding itself, and we neither change nor read the contents.

What to press on the box

  1. 1. Menu → «Playlist».
  2. 2. «Load by code».
  3. 3. Type six characters with the D-pad and press OK.

The code contains no zero, no one, and no I, L or O — they're far too easy to confuse on a TV screen.
