A player for your Android TV box, with a TV guide and catch-up

The channels are yours — from the M3U playlist your provider gave you: tvista neither broadcasts nor sells them. The player adds a three-day guide, catch-up rewind and a second channel in the corner of the screen, and it's driven by the D-pad and the OK button.

How to start

Install the app, connect your playlist, watch. No sign-up, no email, no card needed.

Install the app

Download the package onto the box and open it. Android asks for permission once — after that the player updates itself.

no store needed, no Google account either

Connect your playlist

A file from a USB stick, an M3U link or a six-character code. The code is the easiest: six characters on the remote instead of a long address.

Watch

The TV guide loads by itself: three days ahead and search by title. Channels are grouped, and you switch by typing the number on the remote.

What premium adds →

Everything you need to watch

The basics of tvista work without a subscription. Connect your own playlist — the app contains no channels and sells no access to television.

Any playlist of yours

Connect an M3U or M3U8 playlist from your provider — as a file, by link or with a six-character code. Nothing else to configure.

Three-day TV guide

The whole schedule in one grid: what's on now, what's next and what has already aired. XMLTV is picked up automatically or added by hand.

Catch-up and rewind

If your provider supports catch-up, you can go back to a programme that has already aired and start from any point — straight from the guide.

Only the channels you want

Hide what you don't need, keep your favourites and set the order yourself. Switch by number or with the D-pad, the way you would on an ordinary TV.

A second channel in the corner

Watch the main channel and keep a second one in a small window. Handy for following two broadcasts at once without losing what you're watching.

No store, no extra apps

A new version installs over the old one from inside the app. No hunting for updates on a website, no handling APK files by hand.

What premium adds

40channels — the free version's limit

This is the free version's only cap

The first 40 channels of your playlist play free — the rest stay visible in the list, but with a lock. Premium removes the counter: a playlist of a thousand entries works in full.

Catch-up archive

A programme that has already aired can be started right from the guide: yesterday's match, the news you missed. Rewind with the arrows — the longer you hold, the bigger the step.

Picture-in-picture

A second channel in a small window over the big one: the match in the corner while the news is on. Swap the windows, sound included, from the quick menu.

Baby monitor

A camera from the nursery or the yard shown over the TV picture. ONVIF cameras are found on your home network automatically — no address to type, just the camera's own login and password. A pan-tilt camera can be steered with the D-pad.

Side by side

The free version isn't a three-day demo — it's a working player with no time limit. Premium lifts the 40-channel cap and adds catch-up, a second window and cameras.
